In this study, all the participants have “good” or “excellent” language proficiency, which raises the question of the performance of students with lower language ability. Jackson measures identity and cultural disengagement together, and almost all the participants insist that they have experienced “no change” in their identity, which provide a possibility for the study of culture identity in this online course too.
